Launched as part of 2026 International Day for Women in Maritime celebrations, this global storytelling initiative aims to amplify diverse voices and inspire the next generation of maritime professionals.

WISTA members and supporters are invited to share letters to the next generation, their future selves, or the future of the industry.

Submissions can be made in (i) Written letter: 300–500 words (PDF or Word); (ii) Short video: 60–90 seconds (via WeTransfer or similar); or (iii) Audio message: Via WeTransfer or similar.

Submit yours by email to diversity@coulibalysusanne.com by 1st October 2026.

Submitted letters will be featured on WISTA social media channels, and the most inspiring entries will be presented during the 2026 WISTA International AGM.

It’s the time of year again to reach out to all of you for nominations for the WISTA awards and this year, it is for the Corporate Diversity Award.

The Corporate Diversity Award is aimed at companies/organizations that are showing great strides in incorporating diversity across their business and are acknowledged for their contributions and commitment to improving practices and making working environments more inclusive.

Members are hereby invited to submit nominations for consideration by the WISTA Denmark Board.

The 2026 Corporate Diversity Award Winner will be formally announced during the WISTA International AGM on 28th October 2026 at the InterContinental, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Corporate Diversity Award is awarded every two years, alternating with the Personality of the Year Award.

Who is the woman driving the future of maritime innovation in Denmark?

WISTA Denmark is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the Women in Maritime Innovation Award 2026, an award dedicated to recognizing and celebrating outstanding women who are shaping the future of the maritime industry through innovation, leadership, and vision.

The award honours women whose contributions are helping advance new technologies, sustainable solutions, digital transformation, operational excellence, and innovative business models across the Danish maritime sector. By highlighting these achievements, WISTA Denmark aims to inspire the next generation of maritime professionals and showcase the crucial role women play in driving innovation throughout the industry.

“We know that remarkable women across the maritime value chain are making significant contributions to innovation every day. This award is an opportunity to recognize their achievements and bring their stories to the forefront,” says Larissa Toledo, Vice-President of WISTA Denmark.

Nominations are open until 31 August 2026.

WISTA Denmark encourages companies, colleagues, industry partners, and maritime professionals to nominate women whose work, ideas, and leadership are creating a lasting impact on the maritime sector.

The recipient of the Women in Maritime Innovation Award 2026 will be announced during this year’s Smart Maritime Annual Global Innovation Congress (SMAGIC), where industry leaders and stakeholders will gather to discuss the future of maritime innovation and sustainability, supported by Danish Shipping, BIMCO, Danish Maritime Authority and Lloyds Register.
